Commonwealth games history

The Commonwealth games were also known as a friendly games they were unique.the games began at 1930 at Canada. 11 countries sent 400 athletes there were 6 different sports and 59 events. The games were held every four years except 1942 and 1946 because of the second world war.

The games have changed over the years even it’s name. From 1930-1950 it was called the British Empire games.1954-1966 its name changed again to the british empire and commonwealth games.1970-1974 they were called the British Commonwealth game.At the 1978 games in Canada the name was changed again to the Commonwealth games, this is what it is called today.
